All are invited to join us as we celebrate and recognize our graduating seniors during the 11:00 Worship service! A special breakfast will also be held beforehand for our graduates and their families at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. We ask that you please RSVP to Lee Wooden by today, May 12, if you are able to attend this special occasion.

ATTENTION JUNIOR MARSHALS! If your child is a Junior Marshal for their school, we would like to invite them to be a part of this special occasion, by escorting our graduates during Worship. If your child is able to participate, please notify our church office no later than this Wednesday, May 15. Junior Marshals should dress as they would for the graduation ceremony.

Senior Adults Trip to Flat Rock

Thursday, May 23 | 10:30 a.m.

***REGISTRATION CLOSED***

We are returning to Flat Rock to see a matinee performance of Jersey Boys, a musical that presents the formation, success and breakup of the popular 1960’s group “The Four Seasons.”  You’ll be treated to all your favorite songs from the era of the Four Seasons, with a story told in a dramatic, documentary-type style.

We will leave the church at 10:30 a.m. on May 23rd, have lunch at the Flat Rock Wood Room right down the road from Flat Rock Playhouse, and then see the play at 2:00 p.m.  The cost per person is $70.00 and is all inclusive – travel, lunch, and theater ticket. REGISTRATION IS REQUESTED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE so that we can get a head count for tickets, lunch reservations, and transportation. Payment is due by April 3.

Summer Carillon Concert Series

Begins Sunday, June 9

FPC Belmont invites you to join us for a special Carillon Concert Series this Summer. Dr. Andrea McCrady, Canada’s Dominion Carillonneur, will open the series with her program “Primary Colors” on Sunday, June 9th. This will include folk songs, hymns, and popular tunes based on red, yellow, and blue.

The second and third concerts will be performed by church carillonneurs, Mary McFarland and Kailey Lawing. On Thursday, July 4th, the two will perform their seventh annual “Celebrate America” program. This program will feature both solo and duet repertoire of traditional patriotic music. Sunday, August 18th will close out the series with an all-dance inspired duet program. “Step in Time” will include famous marches, waltzes, and other pieces that make listeners want to get up and move.

All concerts will begin at 6:00 p.m., rain or shine. Concerts can be enjoyed from the lawn or inside a car in the church parking lot. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
