CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
As a congregation, we promise to undertake with parents the Christian nurture of their child, so that in time the child will claim faith in Jesus Christ. We teach our children the faith in a safe environment, with developmentally appropriate programs and activities. Additionally, all childcare staff members must undergo a background check and have completed our Child and Youth Protection Training Program.
For infants and toddlers, we offer nursery care during Sunday School and the 11:00 am worship service on Sundays. Nursery care is located in Room EB 116. Children are also welcome to join their parents during worship.
On Sundays, our Children’s Ministry gathers in the Library following the Children’s Sermon during our 8:30 am and 11:00 services. Preschoolers (age 4) through 5th Graders are invited to attend. Additionally, children assist in worship with 3rd graders participating in our Communicants Classes and 4th Graders becoming Acolytes.
“WOW” also known as Worship on Wednesday, is a time set aside for children grades Kindergarten through 5th Grade. We know that children are a gift from God and it is our heart’s desire to see them build a relationship with Him. We want to pour God’s love into each child that we come into contact with, and help them learn and grow in their walk with Christ. WOW consists of music, games, crafts, missions, and other special events, and we hope your child will join us on Wednesdays!
Children’s Choir: Meets on Wednesdays at 4:15 pm in the upstairs Choir Room.
WOW: Meets at 5:00 pm in the Sanctuary.
